VANCOUVER, Canada (April 21, 2009) — This spring, dozens of physicians and patients left their clinics and laboratories behind to visit organic matcha tea fields. DōMatcha™ organic tea purveyor - 16th generation Tea Master Kazunori Handa - hosted the event and reminded participants that nature contains powerful alternatives to modern drugs and chemicals.

“Sometimes we forget ancient miracles in the rush for new ones,” Handa said.
Nearly 80 Japanese physicians and patients traveled to Kagoshima, Japan to tour Handa's organic tea fields and attend a seminar on the health benefits of matcha.
“They needed to experience the tea fields, to actually feel and smell matcha tea leaves, to understand their cultivation,” Handa said. “It’s a process that produces potent results.”
Research has indicated that tea has many health benefits, often attributed to the drink's high level of antioxidant EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate). And there is no better way to enjoy the pure and healthy tradition of drinking tea than through Tea Master Handa's organic matcha. He is determined to raise awareness of matcha around the world. DōMatcha™ is proud to assist in his vision by offering his teas throughout North America!
