How to Make Traditional Matcha Green Tea

DōMatcha® is cultivated, harvested, and processed using traditional Japanese methods in Uji, Kyoto, where matcha began. To enjoy the full flavor and benefits of matcha, it makes sense that the best way to prepare it is also the traditional way.

In this video, our experts at DōMatcha® demonstrate the simple yet precise traditional method of preparing matcha. Have a bamboo whisk, hot water, and a cup or drinking bowl ready. You can also have soy or almond milk on hand, and adjust quantities for thick or thin matcha as you prefer.
